Fineshade Wood is a scenic Forestry Commission woodland in Northamptonshire.
With a 5-mile (8 km), family cycling trail with more difficult loops for intermediate skilled riders, Fineshade Wood is picturesque and a delightful way to spend the day in a beautiful forest environment.

The Green Family route is for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The Blue Adventure loops add some technical aspects for moderate riders with basic mountain-biking skills.
The circular cycle route starts and finishes at the top of the car park. The route is not flat and has some gentle to moderate hilly sections.
Look out for the seven skills loops along the route which give you
a chance to test your skills on trail features (blue trail).
Part of the route is shared with walkers and horse riders.
Follow the green cycle signs around the trail.

Fineshade Wood (NN17 3BB) is located off the A43 between Stamford and Corby. Follow the brown tourist signs leading to the site from both directions.
Large car park with excellent access to the visitor centre. Additional larger surrounding car parks available at busy times.

At peak times (weekends, bank holidays and school holidays), car parks fill up quickly. Please take this into consideration when planning your visit.
Annual parking permits are also available that entitles you to park at Fineshade Wood.

The nearest point on National Cycle Network (NCN) Route 63, from Ailsworth or Stamford, to Fineshade Wood is approximately 11 miles (17 km) away from your destination. Then follow the A47 west and join the A43 south near Collyweston.
