Viking Coastal Trail

The Viking Coastal trail is a 32-mile (51.4 km) circular route exploring one of the most attractive areas of Kent.

With lots to stop off, see and do, this intriguing cycling route visits some of the most well-known holiday towns in the south of England before heading inland and visiting picturesque Kent villages.

The Viking Coastal Trail offers family friendly cycling on flat, traffic-free promenades or along quiet country lanes.

Along the way, look at for the Viking Ship ‘Hugin’ at Pegwell Bay named for one of Odin’s ravens, Ramsgate Maritime Museum, Charles Dickens’ House in Broadstairs from 1837 to 1851, and St Augustine’s Cross (west of Ramsgate) marking the site where the first Mass is said to have been held in 597AD.
