Birdlife and a whole range of flora and fauna are in abundance at this designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Grafham Water is perfect for a family day out with a short 10-mile ride, children’s play areas, ornamental gardens and picnic spots.

Location

Grafham Water is located north-west of Cambridge, west of Buckden on the A1.

Let’s Pedal

Grafham Water consists of a 10-mile (16.1 km) circular route around the reservoir on traffic-free waterside trails. Start at Marlow Park (the location of Rutland Cycling bike hire and Grafham Water Visitor Centre) or Mander Park and set off to the west or east depending on how you feel!

Make sure you stop off at the children’s play grounds where the kids can have fun on the climbing frames, and adults and children alike will enjoy the viewpoints around the reservoir where you can look at the local birdlife.
